Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), established in 1979, is one of Bengaluru’s most prestigious engineering institutions, part of the renowned Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI). Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification (B.E. / B.Tech)

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (PUC / 10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects from a recognized board. A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in PCM subjects is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates from Karnataka).

 

Entrance Exam – COMEDK UGET (COMEDK Quota)

Candidates must appear in COMEDK UGET (Under Graduate Entrance Test) for admission under the COMEDK quota. The exam tests Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Valid COMEDK rank is mandatory. DSCE is one of the most sought-after colleges under COMEDK with high cut-off ranks.

 

Entrance Exam – KCET (Government / Karnataka Quota)

Karnataka domicile candidates may also apply through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) conducted by KEA. Priority is given to Karnataka state candidates for government quota seats (30% of intake).

 

Management Quota

Seats under Management Quota are filled directly by the institution through merit in qualifying examination. Candidates must have valid JEE Main / COMEDK score. Direct applications accepted through DSCE admissions office.

 

NRI / Foreign National Quota

NRI candidates must provide proof of NRI status, valid passport, and academic transcripts. Admission through DSCE’s NRI quota based on marks in qualifying exams. Seats are limited and allocated on first-come-first-serve basis.

Admission Process

Step-by-Step Admission Guide (2025–26)

Step 1 – Register for COMEDK UGET / KCET / JEE Main
Jan – March 2025
Register and appear for COMEDK UGET for private college quota or KCET for Karnataka domicile quota. JEE Main score is preferred for Management/NRI quota. Ensure all documents (Class 10 & 12 marksheets, Aadhaar, category certificates) are ready.
 
Step 2 – Results & Rank Card
May 2025
Download COMEDK / KCET rank card after results are announced. Check your rank against previous year cut-offs for DSCE to assess eligibility for preferred branches.
 
Step 3 – COMEDK Counselling Registration
June 2025
Register on the official COMEDK counselling portal (comedk.org). Pay the counselling registration fee (approx. ₹2,000). Fill in college and branch preferences with DSCE as top priority.
 
Step 4 – Seat Allotment (Round 1)
July 2025
COMEDK announces Round 1 seat allotment. If allotted DSCE, pay the seat acceptance fee (approx. ₹10,000) online within the stipulated time to confirm the seat. Download the provisional allotment letter.
 
Step 5 – Document Verification at DSCE
July 2025
Visit DSCE campus for document verification. Submit original + photocopies of: 10th Marksheet, 12th Marksheet, COMEDK Scorecard & Rank Card, Aadhaar Card, Transfer Certificate (TC), Category Certificate (if applicable), Passport-size photos, Migration Certificate (if applicable).
 
Step 6 – Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation
July – August 2025
Pay the tuition fee as per the fee structure. Admission is confirmed upon successful fee payment. Collect admission letter and student ID card.
 
Step 7 – Orientation & Classes Begin
August 2025
Orientation programme held in the first week of August. Regular classes commence. Students are introduced to the university ecosystem, clubs, and research centers.
